Mite Box Outreach

Join our Mite Box Outreach - A Cherished Lenten Discipline for the whole family!

A longtime Lenten tradition at St. Andrew’s is that of a Lenten outreach offering, often called a “mite box offering,” or a self-denial offering. We invite you to pick up a mite box or two at church, to fill with coins, bills, and checks during this Lenten season. You may also give offering online.

The ingathering of the boxes will be on April 13, Palm Sunday. Our offering this year will go to bless he good people of St. Philip the Apostle Anglican Church, a wonderful Nigerian congregation of our Diocese. This fast-growing congregation has outgrown their very limited space in a small church building, and will soon move to property in Grand Prairie owned by our Diocese. They are working very hard to clean, repair, update and renovate the old buildings on this property, and are contributing to funds to build a new church there in the near future.
