St. Andrew's Choir

The Choir of St. Andrew's has served the liturgical and musical needs of this parish for over one hundred years. Its reputation is known throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The anthems sung range from Renaissance masters like Byrd and Tallis to Victorian and Edwardian composers like Stanford, Parry and Elgar as well as more contemporary composers such as Rihards Dubra, Paul Ayres, Joseph Gentry Stephens and our own Michelle Blumsack Reyes and Chris Wilson and Creed Miller. The ensemble is comprised of eager volunteers from the congregation who establish a core body of talented singers, complemented by a group of professional singers from the area.

Rehearsals occur each Wednesday evening from 7pm - 9pm. Sunday morning rehearsals begin at 9:45am sharp, prior to the 10:30am service. All are welcome.

Trip to England

The choir made a successful trip to serve as the choir-in-residence at Salisbury cathedral. Our time was well spent and the music was well received. As an ensemble we grew, becoming more sensitive to our sound as a whole and bonding more closely as a family. We could not have completed this task without all of your help. From the bottom of our hearts, Thank You! If you missed following our trip by daily checking our live blog, then please go back and visit it. See what we did and who was there. The choir will now be fulfilling its role as worship leaders at our home church but plans are developing for future trips so stay tuned. Click here to enjoy a bit of our choir's worship in England.
