Young Adult

"Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts." (Psalm 145:3-4)

The time to prepare the next generation of God's people for their walk with Christ is always now. The way to prepare the upcoming leaders of the Church is always through knowing His word. The prayerful outcome of this preparation and readiness is always the fellowship of Christ's followers sharing His love.

The Young Adult Ministry at St. Andrew's seeks to be an avenue for both discipleship and witness. We want to be gospel believers and gospel bearers. Through weekly Bible study, consistent fellowship, and ongoing outreach ministries, the up and coming generation of Christ's body at St. Andrew's is finding its place in His kingdom and bringing His light to a struggling world.

Building Women of God

The Women of St. Andrew’s (WOSA) includes ALL women who are part of St. Andrew’s Parish, whether as members of guilds, Bible studies, altar caretakers, music lovers, knitters, needle pointers, prayer warriors, sandwich makers, book lovers, gardeners, teachers, homemakers, professionals – every woman is a member. Our common ground is our Savior Jesus Christ, who holds us together as sisters in His Body. Our desire is to glorify God by serving each other and bringing women together as one body in Christ to praise Him, to fellowship, to learn, and to inspire each other spiritually. We invite all women to come and share God’s love with us at St. Andrew’s.

Women of St. Andrew's Council

The Women’s Council is a body of women composed of the leadership of St. Andrew’s Women’s Guilds and Women’s Bible Studies. Constituent organizations represented are Women of St. Andrew’s Bible Studies, Altar Guild, St. Monica’s Guild, St. Margaret’s Guild and St. Martha’s Meals Guild.

The Women’s Council exists to facilitate communication and coordination and to foster unity among St. Andrew’s women across all aspects of Parish life. This enables us to work together more effectively to bring glory and honor to God in our parish and community. Leaders from WOSA and the Council plan and organize many wonderful programs and activities open to all Parish women. Event dates and times for Women of St. Andrew’s Ministries may be found on the Voice, our weekly online newsletter and on our calendar.

Women's Bible Studies

In keeping with St. Andrew’s mission statement to disciple, equip and empower every member for ministry, St. Andrew’s Women’s Ministries offers weekly Bible Studies. Our goal is rich fellowship and personal growth directed by God through His Word to each woman individually. St. Andrew’s women of all ages and their friends are invited to join us as we seek to grow in our relationships with God and with each other through the study of God’s Word in a loving and supportive fellowship. For more information, please call the church office at 817.332.3191.

Thursday Morning Women's Bible Study

Thursdays 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Spirit building Bible Studies are offered frequently with a video and discussion format. This is a time of fellowship and disciple-building. Light refreshments are served.

Women’s Evening Bible Study

Every other Thursday 5:30 -6:30 PM on Zoom

An Evening Bible Study that meets in member's homes every other Thursday beginning Thursday, September 24 this Fall. We will be studying Philippians.

Altar Guild

The purpose of the Altar Guild is to assist the clergy of the parish in care and preparation of the altars for weekly services and in many other aspects of worship. The members work directly under the orders and authority of the Rector. A St. Andrew’s member whom the Rector has invited and who has accepted membership in the Guild must have instructions in procedure and terminology to insure uniformly high standards. The directress or experienced members serve as trainers. Prospective members must complete the required training courses before participating as an active member.

St. Monica's Guild

St. Monica’s Guild is a group of women dedicated to a Christian way of life. With emphasis on fellowship, the ladies of St. Monica’s generally meet in one another’s homes and hear speakers of interest. Meetings occasionally consist of field trips to a variety of places. St. Monica’s traditionally contributes annually to a charitable project selected by the members. St. Monica’s meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month, six times a year beginning each year in October. Hostesses for the meetings each select their own program.

St. Margaret's Guild

We invite anyone who enjoys stitching and fellowship. The emphasis has been on developing the kneeler project; however, all who would like just plain fellowship while quilting knitting, crocheting, stitching beading, etc., are welcome to join us. Come share your God-given talent or discover a talent you did not know you possessed.

St. Martha's Meals Ministry

St. Martha's Meals Ministry nourishes the needs of the parish with loaves and fishes. Bringing the body of Christ together, this ministry includes all who are willing to provide meals for families in times of need such as illness, death, new baby, or other such occasions. Contact Barbara Ragsdale.

Men's Ministry

Men’s Tuesday Morning Bible Study

Men’s Tuesday Morning Bible Study

The core of Men’s Ministry at St. Andrew’s is the time spent together on Tuesday mornings for prayer, study, and mutuality in Discipleship as Christian Men. We begin with prayer and continue with intensive, biblically based, often very lively discussion over coffee, fruit and pastries. Opportunity is always offered for any man to share personal witness, experiences, needs, sorrows, or joys.

Men’s Ministry at St. Andrew’s is affiliated with the international Anglican disciple-ship network of men and boys known as the Brotherhood of St. Andrew. The program is designed to foster Mentoring, with a focus on raising up a new generation of Christian Men; Mutuality, with a focus on fellowship and accountability one with another within the Body of Christ; and Maturity, with a focus of growing in Grace and Christ-likeness of spiritual stature, rooted in the Word Himself and in particular in His Word Written, the Holy Scriptures. Each man is encouraged and, by God’s Grace, equipped to share and spread the Faith, to the end of making disciples of others, one to one in the building up of God’s Kingdom.

The Brotherhood reaches out to the community with special projects, in coordination with other St. Andrew’s ministries, in support of TarrantNet, Iglesia San Miguel, Union Gospel Mission, Kairos, the Anglican Relief and Development Fund, C.a.M.p. Global and other bodies seeking to be obedient to both the Great Commandment and Great Commission of Christ. The Men’s group is active in the local expressions of “Faith in Action” -- seeking to reach thousands of Fort Worthians with the transforming love and power of Christ.

All men of the Parish, as well as from other congregations and those who may not have a congregational home, are invited to come, to be disciples, to make disciples, and to grow in Christ week in, week out, as mentored by the Master Himself. Check the slideshow below for some candids of the men serving the Lord by making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the kitchen at St. Andrew's and cooking for The Union Gospel Mission residents and serving at the Ronald McDonald House.

Senior Adult’s Ministry

Mission:

The ministry for the mature adults at St. Andrew’s is dedicated to enhancing the lives and lifestyles for those members over 60 years of age. St. Andrew’s offers multiple events and activities for senior adults throughout the year. The Senior Ministry was organized to respond to the needs of the senior community

Goals:

Education (spiritual and secular) fellowship, relationships, culture, entertainment, travel, and to enhance the interaction between generations within the whole congregation.  Please check this site or the events of this web page often to make sure you do not miss a single opportunity! We are active no matter our category...No-Goes, Slow-Goes, and Go-Goes!

Programs:

A number of programs are offered throughout the year coordinated through various ministries in the church, including Women’s Bible Studies, the Rector’s Bible Study, and other programs aimed at education and cultural enhancement. Computer classes for all levels of competency are offered at a local community center and cover varied topics of interest to seniors.

Volunteer Opportunities

Individuals or groups can be involved in serving within the Body of Christ. Some examples of service within St. Andrew’s include maintaining the hearing aids for use in services, attending to small needs of the Clergy, and serving as Lay Eucharistic Ministers. The St. Andrew’s Memorial Fund Committee is comprised of seniors who oversee the distribution of gifts in memory and honor of loved ones.

Events

Seniors enjoy seasonal concerts from the Music Ministry as wonderful fellowship events. We coordinate group attendance at health seminars, museum exhibits and varied local events of cultural, historical and social interest to the senior community.

Trips

The Golden years are a wonderful time to travel and experience the Lord’s world with Church friends and family. We schedule several day trips as well as more extended trips to places near and far.

The Senior Ministry enhances and sustains the lives of senior members through service, education, recreation, fellowship and opportunities to worship in community with other seniors. We believe life as a senior is an abundant time to be alive: a time when we are able to give back from the gifts we have received, whether gifts of time, energy or resources, and a time to reap the benefits of living in community with other believers in Christ.
