Building Women of God

The Women of St. Andrew’s (WOSA) includes ALL women who are part of St. Andrew’s Parish, whether as members of guilds, Bible studies, altar caretakers, music lovers, knitters, needle pointers, prayer warriors, sandwich makers, book lovers, gardeners, teachers, homemakers, professionals – every woman is a member. Our common ground is our Savior Jesus Christ, who holds us together as sisters in His Body. Our desire is to glorify God by serving each other and bringing women together as one body in Christ to praise Him, to fellowship, to learn, and to inspire each other spiritually. We invite all women to come and share God’s love with us at St. Andrew’s.

Women of St. Andrew's Council

The Women’s Council is a body of women composed of the leadership of St. Andrew’s Women’s Guilds and Women’s Bible Studies. Constituent organizations represented are Women of St. Andrew’s Bible Studies, Altar Guild, St. Monica’s Guild, St. Margaret’s Guild and Grace Guild.

The Women’s Council exists to facilitate communication and coordination and to foster unity among St. Andrew’s women across all aspects of Parish life. This enables us to work together more effectively to bring glory and honor to God in our parish and community. Leaders from WOSA and the Council plan and organize many wonderful programs and activities open to all Parish women. Event dates and times for Women of St. Andrew’s Ministries may be found in the Messenger and on our calendar.

Women's Bible Studies

In keeping with St. Andrew’s mission statement to disciple, equip and empower every member for ministry, St. Andrew’s Women’s Ministries offers weekly Bible Studies. Our goal is rich fellowship and personal growth directed by God through His Word to each woman individually. St. Andrew’s women of all ages and their friends are invited to join us as we seek to grow in our relationships with God and with each other through the study of God’s Word in a loving and supportive fellowship. For more information, please call the church office at 817.332.3191.

Spirit building Bible Studies are offered frequently with a video and discussion format. This is a time of fellowship and disciple-building. Light refreshments are served.

Cantina Scriptorum

Tuesdays 5:30 -7:00 PM

An Evening Bible Study that meets in member's homes the second Tuesday of each month during the Fall, Winter and Spring.

Altar Guild

The purpose of the Altar Guild is to assist the clergy of the parish in care and preparation of the altars for weekly services and in many other aspects of worship. The members work directly under the orders and authority of the Rector. A St. Andrew’s member whom the Rector has invited and who has accepted membership in the Guild must have instructions in procedure and terminology to insure uniformly high standards. The directress or experienced members serve as trainers. Prospective members must complete the required training courses before participating as an active member.

St. Monica's Guild

St. Monica’s Guild is a group of women dedicated to a Christian way of life. With emphasis on fellowship, the ladies of St. Monica’s generally meet in one another’s homes and hear speakers of interest. Meetings occasionally consist of field trips to a variety of places. St. Monica’s traditionally contributes annually to a charitable project selected by the members. St. Monica’s meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month, six times a year beginning each year in October. Hostesses for the meetings each select their own program.

St. Margaret's Guild

We invite anyone who enjoys stitching and fellowship. The emphasis has been on developing the kneeler project; however, all who would like just plain fellowship while quilting knitting, crocheting, stitching beading, etc., are welcome to join us. Come share your God-given talent or discover a talent you did not know you possessed.
